Compress data

Parameters

srcbuf buffer containing the data to compress
level compression level. Legal values are -1 .. 9, with -1 indicating the default level (6), 0 indicating no compression, 1 being the least compression and 9 being the most.

the compressed data

Used when the data to be compressed is not all in one buffer.

compress (buf) Compress the data in buf and return the compressed data.
flush (mode) Compress and return any remaining data. The returned data should be appended to that returned by compress().
factory (classname) Create instance of class specified by the fully qualified name classname. The class must either have no constructors or have a default constructor.
opCmp (o) Compare with another Object obj.
opEquals (o) Test whether this is equal to o. The default implementation only compares by identity (using the is operator). Generally, overrides for opEquals should attempt to compare objects by their contents.
toHash () Compute hash function for Object.
toString () Convert Object to a human readable string.
